Some genuinely legendary players have suited up for the Boston Red Sox. Even during their 86-year championship drought, the team saw players build iconic careers and impact the game. One such player is Ted Williams, who played his entire career in Boston.?After 21 years since the legend’s passing in 2002, the team gathered side by side to honor him in the oldest MLB stadium.
Throughout his life, Williams was obsessed with hitting. He even wrote a book titled ?The Science of Hitting? after his retirement. Many experts say that the outfielder would have passed the 600-home run mark had it not been for the wars. Williams served and survived the Second World War and the Korean War.
