The Atlanta Braves have had very few moments to celebrate in their history as an MLB team. But at one point in time, the team experienced elation as their owner feuded with none other than Vince McMahon. Ted Turner was the owner of the Atlanta Braves till 2007. For many years during his time as owner, Turner and McMahon were rivals as the owners of WCW and WWE(then WWF) respectively.

But at one point during his time as Braves owner, Turner experienced a major moment of success with the team. An image of Turner celebrating the Atlanta Braves’ rare success recently resurfaced on Twitter.

The Atlanta Braves won the World Series in 1995, breaking what was a 38-year World Series drought for the team. It was undoubtedly a big moment for Braves owner Ted Turner and he celebrated it in great fashion. A rare image of Turner holding the World Series trophy in 1995 was recently shared on Twitter by the page Baseball in Pics.

While sharing the rare image on Twitter Baseball in Pics wrote in the caption, “Braves owner Ted Turner parades around with the World Series trophy, 1995”. Many believe that the Braves should have won more World Series titles in the late 90s and early 2000s. At the time, they were one of the best teams in the league and won 14 consecutive divisional titles between 1991 and 2005.

Unfortunately, the Atlanta Braves were unable to achieve more success with Turner at the helm. But this image from 1995 will always be an iconic moment in the team’s history. Furthermore, the Braves recently won the World Series in what was another huge moment for the franchise.

Following their World Series title win in 1995, the Braves did not win another championship until 2021. They ended another drought after winning it in 2021, this time it was 26 years. They won it in what according to ESPN’s Anthony Castrovince was “one of the most spectacular late-season surges in baseball history”.

The Braves did it against all odds after making some timely acquisitions and trades mid-season. Receiving the 2021 World Series Rings meant something to them.
