On June 13, Marshall Kramsky of WCPO in Cincinnati announced the Reds had rescheduled a June 30 game against the San Diego Padres. The reason being Taylor Swift, of course. The singer-songwriter was due to hold a concert for her Eras Tour at nearby Paycor Stadium, but fearing traffic, the Reds made some changes.

Indeed, few artists are treated similarly; however, Swift’s fans have willingly invested thousands of dollars in her. It has been her summer, affecting MLB in her way. Even the?Yankees’ Anthony Rizzo?claimed to have a good day on the field because he changed his walkup music to Taylor Swift. They are resulting in a strange connection between the Reds and Swift.

June 30th’s game saw the Cincinnati team win 7-5 against San Diego, with Spencer Steer’s two-run walk-off home run. The Great American Ballpark erupted into cheers because the Reds had been on a hot streak of victories.
