Over the years, New York Yankees fans have proved The Bronx to be a challenging place for any visiting team. And Yankee Stadium stories never fail to surprise. Similarly, Houston Astros fans at Minute Maid Park didn’t greet the visiting Pinstripes in warmth, and boos surrounded the park on multiple occasions.

Throughout the game, the Bronx Bombers were victims of boos and chants from the bleachers. While talking about that after the 4-2 Yankee loss, two-time All-Star pitcher Luis Severino spoke about the hate against the?Yankees, which isn’t restricted to Houston, but spreads all across the country.
How did Luis Severino humiliate Tampa fans?
While talking about the same Yankee hate, Severino found a way to roast the Tampa Bay Rays, and their fans, who, according to him, manage to find some love for the Pinstripes.
Luis Severino is asked about pitching in a hostile environment such as Houston:
"Everywhere we go, we're not liked. It's not here, it's everywhere. The only place that likes us a little bit is Tampa because they don't have a lot of fans there" 🤣 pic.twitter.com/8nGIGYRqNj

Luis Severino responded to the hostile Houston environment by satirically roasting the Tampa Bay Rays. He said, “Everywhere we go, we’re not liked. It’s not here, it’s everywhere. It’s going to be the same if we go to Boston. The only place that likes us a little bit is Tampa, because they don’t have a lot of fans there. They don’t like us because they think we can win.”
This is how fans reacted to Severino’s comment.
I was indifferent before, but now Astros in 4 smh.

Not to mention, Floridians hate the Trop. They don’t go. Transplants, vacationers, etc., love it to see their Yanks bc it’s cheap, super easy to get in and out of, and tons of Yankee fans travel to the Tampa/StPete area. Always more Yankee fans than Ray fans

As a resident of Tampa and life long Yankees fan, I can attest to what he is saying.

Yeah a lot of Rays fans don't go to the games, we watch it on TV. But to be fair the fanbase that is the meanest towards the Yankees players is the Yankee fanbase.

You like the yankees?

Because there’s a lot of snowbirds/transplants that live down here, Rays have only been around for 25 years and the Yankees have been around for 100+ years

Notably, the second ALCS game begins tomorrow, and the Pinstripes would look forward to changing the flow of momentum by beating the undefeatable Houston Astros at their home in Minute Maid Park.
New York Yankees vs Houston Astros in the Championship Series
Both the Yankees and the Astros have been consistent with their postseason appearances in recent history. That being said, since 2015, the Astros have strongly established themselves as one of the strongest teams in the MLB with one World Series, two World Series appearances, and two Championship Series appearances, and now, in 2022, where they compete for another World Series.
