The ten times MLB All-Star player Mike Trout hit his seventh homer in the seventh successive game. And as the hit recorded his name in history, he wanted the ball back. But the ball was not as easy to get back as he thought it would be. The ball was caught by a young fan of the Guardians, who wanted something in exchange from Trout.

And he got it as well. The day was special, not only for Prince Fish but also for the young man who was present at the right place at the right time. 

What did the boy want from Mike Trout?

The boy Declan had turned 11 on the day, and he was there celebrating his 11th birthday with his dad.

After he caught the ball, he agreed to give it back on one condition. He had asked for an autographed bat from the ten times All-Star player. To which, Trout diligently agreed.

After the game, Trout met up with the young guy, gave him the signed baseball bat, and talked with the Guardians fan for a few moments as well.

The ball was special for Trout, and it certainly made Declan’s birthday a memorable one. 

How is Trout’s streak going?

Unfortunately, the seven-game seven homerun streak ended in the match last night against the Guardians.

Trout could not hit another home run last night in order to get his streak going. But that does not mean that his name won’t get written in history.

Trout is one of the five players in the history of baseball, who have managed to hit seven home runs in seven consecutive games. He is placed with Joey Votto, Kendrys Morales, Kevin Mench, Barry Bonds, and Jim Thome.

Hitting another home run would have sent Trout tying with Dale Long, Don Mattingly, and Ken Griffey Jr., but that is a record for some other time. Which, Trout can potentially make, or even break pretty easily.
