Supermodel Kate Upton Once Disclosed the ‘Commitment Issues’ Showcased by Husband Justin Verlander

Justin Verlander and Kate Upton make a wonderful celebrity couple. Having been married for over approx five years, Verlander and Upton have been together for over nine years now. Both are pros in their profession. Verlander is the go-to ace of the Houston Astros, while Kate Upton is a supermodel in Hollywood.

Even at 39, the Astros ace has been dominating the pitching stats in the current season. Verlander has been a lucky charm for the Astros. When he joined the Astros in the 2017 season, the AL side won their first-ever and only World Series title in its history.

Talking about the personal life of Verlander and Upton, they have rarely appeared in the headlines for their relationship or such things. But there was a time when they had a commitment issue for a sweet and obvious reason.

When Justin Verlander went with Upton’s choice to name their daughter

For some reason, once in a while, every couple has disagreements in their relationship. And it is what makes their relationship even stronger. Going back to the time when the couple was pregnant with their first child, they disagreed over naming their upcoming child.

Per a video on Nicki Swift, Upton was clear on her stand to name the baby ‘Genevieve,’ but Verlander had something else in his mind. However, when it came down to official paperwork after the birth of their baby, Verlander went with his wife’s choice. And since then, their daughter’s name is Genevieve.

“Upton confirmed that she and Verlander had issues coming up with a name… Even though they had already agreed on ‘Genevieve’ being Upton’s favorite, all heck broke loose after their daughter was delivered,” said the report.

After realizing that Verlander named their Genevieve, Upton said it made her fall in love with Verlander even more.

“It’s so high-pressure. We were going back and forth. Even in the hospital, Justin had some real name-commitment issues… It’s so special and it makes me fall in love with him even more,” Kate Upton revealed.
