The New York Mets are stepping things up a notch as they aim to please fans. The Steve Cohen-owned team recently announced an all-day extravaganza where fans can get access to all kinds of fun stuff almost free of cost. To participate, one only needs to wear some sort of Mets merch. Even a simple hat will do. And what exactly will fans get entry to once they show up in their favorite team’s gear?

Access to iconic NYC institutions, giveaways, and special events are only some of the attractions. By winning the Amazin’ Day Sweepstakes, one lucky fan will even get unprecedented access to Citi Field. Not only that, but they will get to meet the players and throw out the first pitch! Celebrities like Kate Upton, and Ralph Macchio are also taking part in this massive event.

Needless to say, March 25th can’t come soon enough. And among the hordes of Mets fans are celebrities that have long awaited a day like this to show off their geeky side.

Kate Upton, Hank Azaria, and Ralph Macchio are repping their Mets’ pride

Aside from the fact that they’re all actors, Upton, Hazaria, and Macchio don’t have much in common. Except, of course, that they’re fans of the Queens’ baseball team. For Kate Upton, it’s a personal matter. She’s married to the Mets pitcher Justin Verlander and is all about supporting her husband. The Other Woman actress posted a few photos of herself, repping the team’s merch, ready for March 25th. Upton has been a loyal Verlander fan ever since the couple started dating in 2014, supporting whichever team her husband has been on.

Hank Azaria of the Simpsons fame is a long-time fan of the New York team and showed off his Mets merch, encouraging other people to check out Amazin’ Day too.

For The Karate Kid actor, his love of the team stems from the fact that they’re both from New York, and recently tweeted a photo of himself in the team’s official cap.

In fact, the 61-year-old is such a big fan of the team that he got into a Twitter fight with his Cobra Kai co-star William Zabka over it!

The Mets are arguably a strong team, even if their historical record of big wins, or rather lack of it, doesn’t prove it. Being in the center of one of the biggest film industries, the team has a number of celeb fans. And while Ralph Macchio will defend the Queens’ team until his dying breath, William Zabka will do the same for the LA Dodgers.

The two co-stars once debated the matter on Twitter, when the two teams played each other in Game 5 of the NLDS back in 2015. Macchio posted a picture of two players, with an iconic picture of Cobra Kai’s John Kreese with his hands folded in the background. His caption read, We all no what happened the 1st time they tried this! Let’s Go @Mets!! Finish them! #cranekick #larussowins! #Mets”
