Baseball stage finally has its first World Series contender. The Texas Rangers have defeated the 2022 winners, the Houston Astros, claiming back the throne after more than a decade. The Lone Star State achieved this remarkable feat with a game seven 11-4 win, leading the series 4-3. This was a dominant display that no one imagined, including the Astros fans, who were hoping for another high leap.

Given the series got tied 3-3 after Game 6, everyone expected it to be a close game. But the Rangers had another idea. They dominated it from the start to comfortably win it, leaving Houston fans without propellant for another World Series space launch. As everyone had an eye on it, this failed launch gave the baseball community enough reasons to react to the Astros’ misery.

The ALCS battle had an interesting turn of events after the Rangers used the Astros’ home record to equalize the series and stay in contention for the World Series. However, even after it, many predicted it to be a great close game to decide the winner. But that was not the case as the game finally ended in favor of the Rangers.

The Rangers took an early lead and maintained it till the end through homers from Adolis Garcia and pitching from Jordan Montgomery, who delivered as a bullpen. While Garcia finished with five RBIs and two home runs, Montgomery, typically a starting pitcher, entered the game in a relief role on Monday, delivering 2.1 innings of scoreless pitching to earn the victory.

The rest of the players added more, shutting down the Astros approach for another championship battle. It also left the Astros fans in a big problem, who hoped for the opposite. A post from mlbonfox reflected on the same that read, “Houston we have a problem.”
