Ever since the regular season started, the umpires have been increasingly getting flak from the community. The umpires in Major League Baseball have become the subject of harsh criticism because of their decisions resulting in the ejections of team members. Although heckling from fans is often understandable, sometimes, the issues can be from the umpire’s judgment as well. And that is precisely what happened in last night’s game between the Colorado Rockies and the Seattle Mariners.
The players honored the legendary Jackie Robinson but that wasn’t the highlight of the game. What made the game stand out was the altercation that took place with an umpire and eventually led to an ejection when the Rockies’ coach argued from the dugout.

Moreover, the umpires’ recent altercations with team members have become a significant issue, with many fans in the community sparing no slack for the officials.
Baseball fans were left furious
Moments after the snippet of the game went on Twitter, baseball fans started bashing the umpire for making a call that wasn’t necessary. According to the MLB rule book, a manager, coach, or player can argue the balls or strikes but without leaving their positions. However, as this scenario illustrates, the coach was not arguing outside the dugout. Despite this, he was still ejected.
Following are some of the fans’ reactions toward the umpire ejecting the Rockies’ coach from the game.
