The off-season of Major League Baseball could be as entertaining as the regular season if given proper attention. Players either become free agents or opt out of their contracts to sign with a new team. For some players, it remains a mystery where they would end up until the last moment they sign with a team. One such example of such a player is now the reported shortstop of the San Francisco Giants, Carlos Correa.
Steve Cohen on why he was willing to try for Correa and run his payroll to $375M and tax to $100M: “I’ve been dealing with big numbers for so long these numbers don’t scare me at all.” Cohen explains his commitment to Mets fans in this NY Post exclusivehttps://t.co/sEpNKD8Suk

For Correa, it remained a mystery as he was a prospective shortstop for many teams, including the New York Mets and his former team, Minnesota Twins. Apparently, the Mets owner was ready to go all in and spend the required money to sign Correa. Unfortunately, his being a little too late ended with Correa signing with the Giants. Which made fans go wild over Cohen’s confession to go miles to have Correa on the roster.
What did the fans say about Cohen’s confession of Carlos Correa?
Earlier, Cohen had shown interest in pursuing Correa to the Mets. But when he did call Carlos’ agent Scott Boras, he got to know that they were already too ahead in talks with another team that they couldn’t back off. A couple of days later, Cohen confessed that he was ready to give $375 million to Correa. But since that did not happen, people on Twitter started to bash the New York Mets’ owner.
I don't believe that. If he wanted Correa at any cost, Correa would be a Met! Thats the bottom line

Apparently, people already read this news before. Thus, they were not so happy reading it again but were not happy with Cohen’s confession either.

According to the fans on Twitter, if Cohen wanted to have Correa on the Mets, he could have done it rather than rant about it on Twitter.
