A few days after Judge re-signed with the Yanks, Cortes told the YES network’s reporter Meredith Marakovits about his failed attempt of trying to get some information out of the outfielder, Big Aaron Judge.
How did Cortes try to get Aaron Judge to speak?
It is no doubt that every Yankee fan wanted Aaron Judge to stay as a Yankee. Therefore, not only for him but for all the Yankees fans, Cortes sent some not-so-subtle hints to Judge to try and get some information out of him. But to his dismay, he failed.
“I was giving pointers to see if he would give me anything. If he was playing poker, I couldn’t tell the hand he was playing. It was fun to be around him,” confessed Cortes.
Nestor Cortes wasn't just "asking for a friend", but for all Yankees fans when he was with Aaron Judge days before he agreed to return, as he tells @M_Marakovits.

This incident happened when Nestor, with his fiancee, was in Tampa, and he texted All Rise to know what he was up to the next night. And Judge informed Nestor that he and his wife will be at the Bucs game. And since Cortes Jr. did not have much to do, he also joined the AL MVP to watch the Bucs game. Then at the Bucs game, Nestor wanted to get in on some inner information from Judge. And he miraculously failed.
