Are the New York Yankees already looking for options to replace their talisman, Aaron Judge? Well, the latest report suggests that the Pinstripes are on a hunt to find a player similar to Judge’s physique and playing style.

Notably, the Yankees management has selected their first-round pick in the 2022 MLB draft. Yes! The Vanderbilt outfielder Spencer Jones is a 6-foot-7 big collegiate guy who knows a thing or two about how to smack balls out of the ballparks. Although it is too early to compare the young guy to Aaron Judge, the Yankees might have found their perfect replacement for Judge.

Spencer Jones will be the 25th overall pick in the 2022 MLB draft. Ever since this news has come out, the Yankees fans have been going gaga over the possible new Aaron Judge. Not to forget that the Yankees had also picked Judge in the 2013 MLB draft from Fresno State University.

Yankees fans approve of the left-handed Aaron Judge

Replacing Aaron Judge is not a straightforward job. Apart from his immense hitting capabilities, the Yankees slugger knows how to lead a team. He is probably the only one who has come close to the leadership skill of legendary Derek Jeter. So, even if the Yankees bring the much-talked-about Spencer Jones, he will have a lot to learn to become a player as good as Judge.

Taking to Twitter, MLB fans shared their opinion on the Yankees’ first pick in the 2022 MLB draft. One fan already declared Spencer as the lefty Aaron Judge, while ace MLB journalist, Andy Martino, called him an incredible runner for a 6’7.

Yankees reporter Bryan Hoch also hinted at Spencer as the replacement of Judge. One fan even took a hilarious dig at the Yankees and said instead of extending Judge’s contract, they are hunting for a new Aaron Judge.

Notably, Judge is in the last year of his contract with the Pinstripes. And after the 2022 MLB season, he will enter his free agency. There are rumors that Judge might not continue at the Yankees after the ongoing MLB season. However, everyone will have an answer once the season gets over and the Yankees slugger signs a new deal with his desired MLB franchise.
