New York Yankees gun outfielder, Juan Soto, continued his dominant run on Sunday afternoon. He smashed a pair of home runs, beating the San Francisco Giants by a score of 7-5. This was a comeback win for the Yankees, with Soto playing a crucial role. This is a victory that has placed Soto among the top elite list of players after scoring the 20th multi-homer.

However, Soto’s contract expires after the current season, and fans are wondering whether the Yankees will re-sign him. Expected to get around $500 million, Yankees Joseph Solano and Soto’s Agent Scott Boras have different takes on Juan Soto’s future deal.

Though Juan Soto is expected to go for $500 million, Yankee’s Joseph Solano showcases a contradictory story. In his conversation with a host on Talkin Yanks, he said,” He’s elevating his game every single time, and I am surprised every single time about it. The bigger series that are coming up at the stadium. I am very interested to see how he performs at those.”

Regarding the love, Soto desires, he went on saying,” Dodgers, then you got Fenway park, you got those back-to-back weekends. I need ton see that, I need the love fest with Soto to become intoxicating enough where he’s like, heyy, I love this. I need to stay here forever; Won the games for the Yankees at the end, Two Homers? How could we know not give him love.”

Ultimately, as the contract of Juan Soto is about to end, Yankees fans are worrying about his departure. On the other hand, Juan Soto’s agent, Scott Boras, is brewing a different story from his end.” Soto is “a centurion,” a player who has the capability to come into the elite list of top 100 MLB players

He went on saying,I don’t think centurions, for any team, are what you would consider a cost to a team, because it’s franchise-appreciation addition. So whatever your franchise is worth, a centurion on your team would thereby make the team worth billions more.”

But what specifically made Soto’s agent convey such a bold statement? The comment was a reaction after Hal Steinbrenner showed his despair on the club’s payroll of $313 million as “not sustainable” due to luxury tax penalties. For the Yankees to sign Soto, they must go above the $500 million cap, as Boras has clearly stated the star player’s future value. Owing to such controversies, fans will have to show a lot more love to Soto, praying that he extends his contract with the Yankees.

After Soto’s heroics, the Yankees collectively went 42-19 after playing three games against the Giants, the best record for the team in baseball. Offensively, the team is in fourth position in the batting average and ranks first in home runs and OPS. Having Juan Soto at the rescue in the middle order means the Yankees are flying high in the MLB league.

During his first season with the Yankees, he’s hitting at .322 and has 17 homers, four stolen bases, and 53 RBI. On top of that, he boasts an OPS of 1.031 and is on the path to yet another All-Star Game Appearance. Given his age, other teams must be keeping an eye on the future MLB star. However, fans have been the most passionate in baseball. If they can shower their infinite love on Soto, he might stay with the Yankees in the years to come.
