Derek Jeter is one of the most talented and skilled baseball players. Besides that, most importantly, he is a father. He has four children to raise, and as a father, Jeter has dreams and plans for his kids. Like every other father, the baseball legend has desires that he wants his kids to fulfill.

Recently, in the month of May, Jeter and Hannah welcomed their 4th child. Since little Jeter came into the world, fans and media have been speculating about him being the next baseball player from the Jeter family. However, after three months, this couple sat for an interview with Access Hollywood, sharing their experience as parents and thoughts for their kids’ future.

Derek Jeter Wanted His Kids To Follow Their Passions, But Choose A Sport

Derek and Hanna got married in 2016 and have four children together. While the first three are daughters, the fourth child is a boy. Parents have different plans for their children, as the MLB legend does.

However, during the interview, “Do Derek & Hannah Jeter Want Newborn Son To Play Baseball? (Exclusive)” the iconic baseball star shared that he doesn’t want to force his kids into any career. He revealed, “I want my son, I want my daughters to find something they’re passionate about. I don’t care what it is, I really don’t care what it is.” 

As a baseball legend, it is natural for Jeter to want his son to continue his legacy and become a baseball player. Fans are also excited about what the 14x All-Star has planned for his newborn son.

However, the 5xWorld Champion does want his son and daughters to choose a sport, but in addition, he said, “I would like for them to play a sport because I think you learn a lot of life lessons playing sports, you know, we’re setting goals, teamwork, working together, failure. I think those are things that you learn, but I would never push any of my kids into a particular career path and you just want them, each of them to find the thing that they’re most passionate about”

Despite being a baseball legend, this proud father doesn’t want to force his kids into anything just to fulfill his desires. He wants all these children to find their passion and follow it, irrespective of what it is. At one point, Hanna revealed, thier daughters don’t even know what their dad used to do for living. They think he was a golfer. This couple even share their experience as parents, with two kids below 2 years.

Derek Jeter Thought It Will Require Major Adjustment to Have a Boy After Three Girls

The Jeter family welcomed their newly born son Kaius Green Jeter through Surrogacy. This couple has another baby of 17-months. They shared having the third kid already required vital changes, and when the fourth one came, they thought, it would require more changes and adjustments. Also, according to Jeter, thier family dynamically changed after having a son after three daughters. However, this couple is enjoying this phase of raising four children.

Jeter expressed, though it is tough, it is interesting to handle all four, especially their son. However, this couple clarified, they won’t show bias, for them, all their children are different and special on their own way.
