Baseball is a century-old sport in America. And there has not been a better ambassador of this game than MLB Hall of Famer, Derek Jeter. With a career that spanned over two decades, Jeter has played for only one team, the New York Yankees.
Loyal to the game and team, the former Yankees captain is still a fan favorite in the entire MLB. Jeter was never the best player in the ballparks, and he never claimed to be so. In a team where star players like Alex Rodriguez, CC Sabathia, and Johnny Damon played by his side, Jeter remained the most important factor for the New York Yankees.

Considering his contribution and achievement in the game, MLB honored Derek Jeter with the Hall of Fame induction in 2020. But had there been such a chance, who would Jeter pick first in his Hall of Fame? Recently, the Yankees legend revealed the answer for the same.
Former Yankees captain Derek Jeter would put his father first in his Hall of Fame
When MLB inducted Derek Jeter into the Hall of Fame in 2020, many baseball pundits and fans criticized it. Because they believed just being an excellent captain and winning five World Series titles were not enough for getting the Hall of Fame induction. But Jeter was more than a captain for his team.
Whenever the Yankees needed him in the clutch moments, Jeter delivered every time. Being a shortstop, he may not have numbers to prove his worth, but Jeter was the biggest asset for the Pinstripes.
Talking about Jeter’s personal Hall of Fame, the Yankees legend revealed that he would put in his father first. Because Jeter’s father was the person who helped him be it off the field or on the field.
The Yankees legend shared his thoughts in an Instagram video posted by AmFam Insurance Golf Championship.

“I’ll go first. I’m Derek Jeter, and someone who is in my Hall of Fame (for sure!) is my Dad,” Jeter said. Charles Jeter. He is the first person I go to for advice, whether it was on the field or off the field — and still to this day.”
