With the uncertainty of being unavailable at the FIFA World Cup, Soccer star Mallory Pugh Swanson has found a silver lining in the surrounding chaos. Earlier in April, Mallory represented the US National Women’s Soccer Team in a friendly game against Ireland. However, during the game, she suffered two blows, one to the head and the other to her left knee. Despite the initial head injury, she controversially returned to play and ended up tearing the patellar tendon in her left knee. Currently in recovery, Swanson was recently spotted having a nice time at the London Series with her husband, Dansby Swanson.?

With only a month to go until the World Cup, the USNWT is eager to have their top scorer back on the field. But Swanson’s return hangs in the balance. It’s because the Colorado native’s return seems highly unlikely, considering recovery from such an injury takes time. Amongst all the chaos, the Swanson pair found their knight in shining armor in the arms of The Big Smoke, London.?

The Soccer star is having a great time in the capital city of King Charles!

Recently, two of the MLB franchises, St Louis Cardinals and Chicago, reached London to play a two-game series at the London Stadium. In an attempt to spread baseball’s fanbase overseas, the series ended in a tie fulfilling its purpose. Shortly after the series ended, Mallory spent some time with her husband, Dansby Swanson, who plays shortstop for the Chicago Cubs.

Moments later, taking to her official Instagram handle, the Soccer player shared glimpses of her quality time with her husband Dansby. The first of the five pictures that Mallory posted is of her husband from the ballpark. Then, she shared a couple of pictures while she visited the iconic city with yet another picture with her husband, in which a bandaid can be seen on her knee.

According to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, recovery from a patellar tendon takes around six months. It’s already been three months since her injury. And there’s still no surety of her coming back anytime soon. However, Swanson posting the pictures from the London Series prompted her fans to ask for an update.?

Losing a lead scorer when the World Cup is right around the corner is a massive blow to the USNWT. Her fans are devastated by the high possibility of Mallory missing out on leading the team in the World Cup. Hence, when she posted glimpses of her trip to London, fans could not help but ask for an update.?
