Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez became a conqueror of the baseball diamond during his playing time span. He equally enchanted many high-profile beauties. As is obvious, the most famous of all his celebrity pairings was his relationship with pop megastar Jennifer Lopez. ‘A-Rod’ often attended Lopez’s live performances, taking his daughters along as well. 

Lopez has remained a sensational figure in pop music, ever since she began her career. Rodriguez’s daughters were admittedly big fans of her music. Back in 2017, when the pair began dating, Rodriguez started to attend Lopez’s shows with his daughters. So it was in the same year that the Access Hollywood network caught up with Rodriguez for an interview.

Rodriguez’s star value got a massive boost after he formed his love bonding with Lopez. But it didn’t only remain restricted to his social stature. He equally became a hero for his daughters after he managed to win over Lopez’s heart. Since Rodriguez’s daughters were always fond of Lopez, as he once mentioned on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show. 

Therefore, Rodriguez and Lopez soon blended in like a family. Their respective kids also took a liking towards each other as pairs of siblings. It was almost as if they were a real family for ages. ‘A-Rod’ has two daughters, Natasha and Ella, whereas Lopez is a mother of twins, Emme and Max. 

Both Rodriguez and Lopez’s children shared a mutual love of music. But most importantly, Rodriguez’s daughters, Natasha in particular, knew all about Lopez’s music. It was as if Natasha knew every word and the next dance move by heart. Something that ‘A-Rod’ revealed in a 2017 interview.

Speaking to the Access Hollywood network in 2017, Rodriguez said, “It’s amazing when your 12-year-old daughter Natasha makes you do, so you look really silly. So she makes me do these dances with her. I mean she knows everything.” 

Why did the star couple break up and what did they say? 

Unexpectedly for the majority of the public, Rodriguez and Lopez broke up despite having engaged in 2019. They postponed their scheduled marriage to 2021, which didn’t go according to their plans. Allegations of an affair related to Rodriguez sparked rumors as the prime reason for the breakup.

Therefore, as per a report in the Independent publication, Rodriguez and Lopez decided to finally break up releasing a joint statement quoting, “We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.” 

As of now, Lopez is married to Ben Affleck and Rodriguez is dating a fitness instructor named Jaclyn Cordeiro.
