“Sixty-One Is a Unique Number” Roger Maris’ Son Has His Say as Aaron Judge Strikes “Monumental” 50th Homer

Aaron Judge is in a hurry. He is in a race to 61 homers and to bag a massive contract after entering free agency year. Markedly, Aaron Judge is leading the list of homers in 2022 at 50. Given the Yankees’ position, they’ll definitely make the postseason, which gives Judge more time to break some records.

In a single MLB season, Barry Bonds leads the number of homers at 73. However, in the American League, Roger Maris from the NY Yankees is topping the list with 61 home runs. Balanced against that, in a losing cause against the LA Angels, Aaron Judge hit his 50th homer of the season, getting closer to Roger Maris.

Kevin Maris, one of Roger Maris’ six kids maintained that he would like to continue seeing his father hold the record.
