Parents are like guiding stars for their children, and kids often see them as heroes who light up their paths in life. Parents strive to help their kids find their way in the world and instill important values in them. As children grow up, they learn from their parents and look up to them for inspiration. For many little humans, following in their parent’s footsteps is a natural choice, especially if one of their parents is a baseball legend.
Charlie Freeman is a young baseball phenom who seems to be following in his father’s footsteps. Recently he made an appearance at Dodger Stadium and threw the ceremonial first pitch for Freddie Freeman bobblehead night, before a game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks. Despite his young age, Charlie confidently showed off his strong pitch to the crowd.

Freddie Freeman’s on-field excellence is known to all. His brilliance was not just appreciated by the baseball fans in the stands last night but also by his biggest supporters – his family, as evidenced by his wife Chelsea’s Instagram story. However, 6-year-old Charlie Freeman didn’t celebrate his dad’s radiance from just the stands, he also threw the ceremonial pitch right from the field.
Without any hesitation, the kid made it to the mound while his dad took his place as the catcher. With a strong pullback, Charlie threw the pitch toward his dad. Though the ball bounced on the way, it quickly reached Freddie. Charlie then ran and skipped toward his father, happiness radiating off of him. The baseman picked him in his arms, holding him tight as any proud dad would. The sight certainly was a heartwarming one.
And it seems like the pitch was a good omen for the Dodgers, as they reigned over the Diamondbacks and won the game 10-1.
How are fans reacting to the heartening moment?
Baseball fans can’t help but gush over the adorable little kid throwing the pitch of an MLB game, while Freddie Freeman, one of the biggest names in MLB, supported his son with all he’s got.

Even though the experience is bound to be surreal, however, for a kid, the magnitude of the moment is not apparent. The massive stadium, the roaring crowd, and the blinding stadium lights are second, while his sole focus is on his father, and making him proud.
