There have been substantial reports done on the same, with the help of sources. Well, isn’t it about time? 

While there have been many back and forths about the Soto trade, the San Diego Padres might actually be on to something; and with that, there’s been delay. The leadership of both teams has carried out their due diligence in a hushed manner. But per sources, folks involved are optimistic about “the deal to go through”.

His words were, “Everybody involved at this point expects the deal to go through”. The delay in the review further only adds more weightage to the almost confirmed signing. It is likely that, “Juan Soto, 3x All Star, arguably one of the best hitters in the major leagues, is going to be a New York Yankee at the end of the day.”

Marinating in optimist, finally, the 2019 World Series winner with the Washington Nationals could add a tinge of star-studdedness to the Yankees lineup. Maybe there will be a tremendous turn around to the brutal last season, giving the franchise and its fans the ‘near-extinction’ boost of morale. There are two sides to this coin. No doubt that Soto’s striking ability is impressive, and he can hit home runs. Also, he is the type of star player that the Yankees could use virtually any day. One should not, however, forget that even though his signing will help the team’s fan base, playoff prospects, and on-field presence, this news comes with a pinch of salt.
