The New York Yankees have seen many a good player over the years, but they’ve come across equally bad ones too. Playing in the major leagues doesn’t always guarantee excellent performance at every single game. After all, athletes are human too. As for the Yankees, who are a storied franchise, having a majority of good players in any era is almost a given. And it’s not just the team, Bronx fans are equally passionate about the sport. They’ll give as many chances to players as are required but even they have a limit. And Aaron Hicks crossed that limit a long time ago.
After a subpar performance in the last few years, fans wanted him gone. The Yankees finally released him recently and he went to their division rivals, the Baltimore Orioles. Standing just above them in the AL East, Hicks is now proving why he was deserving of wearing pinstripes in the first place. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t a little salty at the Yankees too.

Aaron Hicks is keeping up a stellar performance after leaving the New York Yankees…with a beard
For the unversed, the beard is important to mention because of the Yankees’ clean-cut policy. If nothing else, the one rule of joining the Steinbrenner family is that as long as an individual is in pinstripes, they are not to have any extra accessories on them. Including hair. But Hicks, who has played four games with the O’s so far, has been sporting a light beard lately. Not only that, his performance has been anything but subpar.
When he was still with the Yankees, there was a moment in a game when Hicks missed a catch in the outfield and Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole seemed visibly upset. Fans brutally trolled Hicks for that moment but sometimes, all one needs is a change of scenery. The former Yankee recently made a stunning grab in the outfield with the Orioles, reminding fans of another Aaron in his former team. Furthermore, his appearances on the plate have been equally good, and O’s fans are certainly happy.

O’s pick up Aaron Hicks and he turns into Ken Griffey Jr., he was batting like .160 for us

Some O’s fans rejoiced that Hicks is away from the Yankees.
People just absolutely hate playing for the Yankees. It’s sad really

While some found the situation hilarious, some apologized for any disparaging comments they may have made earlier.
I mean this is objectively the funniest outcome

Hicks spent eight years in pinstripes but the last few of them, especially 2023, were the worst of them. Now he’s with the O’s, a team that is just ahead of his old team. In the meanwhile, the Yankees are dealing with the other Aaron.
Aaron Judge might struggle with a toe injury
The Bronx captain recently made a stunning catch grab at Dodger Stadium that ended with him crashing into the bullpen gate. While Judge got right back up to play, his toe was slightly injured.

However, team manager Aaron Boone is sure that an IL stint will not be needed as Aaron Judge heals and recovers. While the star outfielder had to miss the last game against the Dodgers, he will hopefully be back against the Chicago White Sox next!
