Mike Francesa, a famous radio host, was featured on an episode of the A-Rod and Dan Katz show where he talked about Jeter. Francesa’s comments highlighted A-Rod’s apparent enthusiasm for baseball while shedding light on Jeter’s method of viewing the sport as a business. To this, Jeter replied in his bookThe Life You Imagine, Life Lessons for Achieving Your Dreams.”, He explained how this game is a job for him and how professional he is with all his disciplined work routines.

This is how he relied on it in his book: “If you love to paint, paint all summer. If you love to write, write all summer. For many of you, that’s your off-season. Look at what I do in my off-season, and know that’s why I’m so confident playing baseball from April until October. When I’m hitting in a taut situation in August, I’m confident because I’ve been preparing for that moment all winter. Well, all my life, really.”

This pretty much sums up why he is still remembered as the GOAT of the game even after so many years of retirement. Everyone has been aware of his love for baseball since childhood.
