Despite Ohtani’s impressive performance, the Los Angeles Angels lost to the Seattle Mariners, 5-3. However, one player from Mariners took a grand slam, smashing both Ohtani and Angles’ play.

Ohtani hit a 107-mph line drive into the right-field stands in the eighth inning off Isaiah Campbell (2-0), securing his second career 40-homer season. Ohtani reached base four times and scored the game-tying run in the sixth inning for the Angels (56-54), who suffered their fifth loss in seven games despite their two-way superstar’s latest outstanding performance.

Ohtani pitched four scoreless innings and recorded four strikeouts. He also showcased his offensive prowess with two singles, two walks, a stolen base, and a game-tying run scored from second on a single. Additionally, he hit a home run to give his team a two-run lead during the game. However, Sho-time left the mound early after experiencing cramps in his right middle finger.
Apart from the two-way phenom’s outstanding performance, the Mariners’ Cade Marlowe put on the show, surpassing Ohtani.

The Mariners recently allowed Cade Marlowe to transition into the major leagues. With the bases loaded, the 26-year-old took the mound against the imposing Carlos Estevez in the ninth inning.
This significant grand slam off closer to Estevez’s hit gave them the lead and proved to be the game’s decisive factor, ensuring the Mariners’ triumph over the Angels.
