Los Angeles Angels star, two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani has proved himself to be one of a kind player in the past month. Shotime came into this year’s regular season with the same hype and has already hit three home runs in 2023. It’s been only five years since Ohtani made his MLB debut, and the Angels’ star has already achieved quite a few accolades to his name. His fame has increased exponentially, and with this fame comes many perks, such as the chance to be the face of multiple brands and endorse their projects.
Out of the many brands that Ohtani is the face of, a recent one is a skincare brand. And for the same reason, members of the Angels’ clubhouse often tease him. But Ohtani, being who he is, has the perfect reply for all of them, which Angels’ manager Phil Nevin shared in a recent interview.

Angels’ manager Phil Nevin, in a recent interview of his, said that Ohtani gets more noticed in Anaheim City than Mike Trout. While doing so, Nevin appreciated Ohtani for being the face of many brands. And he also spoke about how he and his team members tease him sometimes. With it, he also told the interviewers of Foul Territory that Ohtani only uses a gesture to shut them up.
All he does is the money hand gestures, and it does the work.
