After swiping third base, he gave an excited clap, acknowledging the milestone with a grin. But it didn’t stop there. In the Dodgers’ 20-4 blowout win, Ohtani put on quite a show, going a perfect 6-for-6 with three home runs, two stolen bases, 10 RBIs, and four runs.

It was arguably the greatest single-game performance in baseball history. Shohei Ohtani started the game with 48 homers and 49 steals, but at the end, it was 51 of each. Not only did the Japanese player make his mark, but he also surpassed Shawn Green’s Dodgers’ single-season home run record of 49.
