With Ohtani not being there, the Angels have lost 3 games against Baltimore and 1 against Cleveland since September 4th. However, Sho-time has shown himself being loyal to his team yet again.
Ending a long silence on social media, Ohtani posted an Instagram story of O’ Hoppe’s hit on his story as a celebratory gesture acknowledging the Angels’ win against the Mariners. O’ Hoppe’s two homeruns led the team to a win making it a monumental one amidst the heated playoff race for more than one reason.
The Angels’ 8-5 win against the Seattle Mariners, pushed the Mariners out of the last wild-card playoff spot. This duo led the Angels to their 4th victory out of 5 after their losing streak of 6 games ended.
Despite their defeat to the Los Angeles Angels on Monday, it was bitter sweet for Mariners’ Julio Rodriguez. Although he is out of the playoffs, but he observed a moment of personal victory.
