As reported by an OK! piece from 2021, Carey and Lopez’s beef goes back long years and even before JLo became the pop sensation that she is today.

Mariah Carey once wanted to beat up pop sensation

In the OK Magazine report, Actress Margaret Cho spoke about Mariah Carey wanting to beat JLo up at a party in the 90s. While referring to that incident, she said, “She was going to beat somebody’s a*s. She said ‘I’m gonna beat that bi**hes a*s.”

However, the report by OK! reads that this beef was only one-sided, and JLo stands least bothered by Carey. A source also added that JLo didn’t have time to read Carey’s book. And she was surprised that Carey had the time to write a book, given her busy schedule.
