Aaron Judge has just signed a 9-year $360 million contract with the New York Yankees. This comes after weeks of rumors and speculation surrounding the AL MVP’s future. Fans were worried that their star was going to leave the Yankees and sign somewhere else. But the management has pulled through and got the deal done.

Among the happy fans are none other than the Jeter family. Although Derek Jeter is yet to react to this deal, MLB fans will be surprised to know his sister Sharlee Jeter is elated to find out about the Aaron Judge contract.

Derek Jeter’s sister Sharlee Jeter reacts to Aaron Judge signing new Yankees contract

Sharlee Jeter was the first Jeter to react to the news of Judge’s new contract. In an Instagram story that she posted, Sharlee said, “Thank you @thejudge44 for saving me from the complete meltdown that would have ensued in my home if you were no longer a Yankee.”

Sharlee’s reaction mirrors what many other Yankees fans would have felt. If Judge had signed elsewhere, it would’ve made Yankees fans all over the world upset. And put the team’s front office in a very tight position.

By signing his 9-year $360 million deal with the New York Yankees, Aaron Judge has broken a very big record. According to Bob Nightengale, Judge’s contract is now the largest free agent contract in MLB history. In a tweet, Nightengale said Aaron Judge’s nine year, $360 million contract with the #Yankees is the largest by a free agent in baseball history”
