I love Stanton, but I just don’t love him on that roster. I don’t think he fits now and I don’t think he’s going to fit in the future with Aaron Judge there.”

He went on further to discuss why he stands by the New York Mets. He said, “I think Steven Cohen will continue to use his tremendous resources. He’s also a very smart guy who is not afraid to make tough calls. I’m leaning toward the Mets on that.” Owing to the history Alex and Steven share, he strengthens his bet. 

This 3 time MVP and icon place significant weight on Cohen’s deep pockets and astute business acumen. He views these qualities as instrumental in propelling the Mets toward a World Series berth. Rodriguez’s belief in Cohen is built on a foundation laid in 2020.
