Baseball has often been criticized for its strict rules, especially for its terms and conditions for a Hall of Fame induction. Just imagine for a moment: what if there were no strict policies against players using PEDs? Well, in that case, players like Alex Rodriguez, Barry Bonds, and Roger Clemens would have got their HOF induction long ago.
Speaking about the same in a recent interview, another controversial MLB legend Pete Rose, who is also banned from his HOF induction, weighed in with his opinions about whether Barry Bonds should get the HOF induction.

In an interview with former American football player Dan Sileo, Pete talked extensively about his induction. This interview was published by JAKIB Sports on their Twitter handle. During the conversation, Sileo said that the Hall of Fame is not complete unless you are in it.
To this, Rose replied, I have given up on that partly; I’ve been waiting since 89.” He further added fuel to the HOF controversy and stated, “If Barry Bonds is not in the hall of fame, you shouldn’t have one, and if Roger Clemens is not in the hall of fame, you shouldn’t have one.”

These statements are evident proof of how fed up he is with waiting, and with these statements, he has also raised questions on the way the Baseball Hall of Fame handles the legends of this game. In 1990-91, Rose was banned by Bartlett Giamatti for life due to his involvement in gambling, and he got served legally for the same as well. Henceforth, this controversy has led to his ineligibility for the Hall of Fame.

Barry Bonds was reportedly involved in the steroids scandal that took place in 2007 and was charged with lying under oath and obstruction. Then he faced legal issues related to using Depo-Testosterone and, hence, never got inducted into the hall of fame.
Some identical repercussions were faced by Roger Clemens, as he was also charged with using anabolic steroids and performance-enhancing drugs and faced the same legal problems as Bonds and is still waiting for his Hall of Fame induction.
