New York Yankees are in serious trouble right now. When 2023 started with Aaron Judge at the helm, and the fresh face of Anthony Volpe, the Yanks looked like a fresh side. But a little over a month into the league, with injuries plaguing the Bronx Bombers roster, they look clueless. And as their offense continues to fail, their defense is being torn apart, too.
After yesterday’s humiliating 15-2 loss against the Texas Rangers, the Yanks have lost their third consecutive series. Since August 2019, the Yanks haven’t allowed more than 15 runs in a single game. But Nestor Cortes Jr. told a different story on the mound at Globe Life Field. Most imperatively, the Yankees have shown no positive signs, and this slide may not end anytime soon.
Another disastrous loss for the New York Yankees

While the Yankees’ defense failed, the offense has been a problem since Giancarlo Stanton moved to the IL. Now, without Aaron Judge, the New York Yankees have only scored four runs in the last three games.
FINAL: Rangers 15, Yankees 2.

In the 15-run marathon, Nestor Cortes Jr. conceded seven runs, before reliever Albert Abreu conceded six more and Nick Ramirez closed while conceding two more.
Simply put, fans aren’t happy. They will never give up on their favorite Pinstripes, but they are furious, to say the least. This is how Twitter reacted to another disappointing Yankees display:
Brian Trashman is SMILING

Nothing says “Trust The Process” like no championships since 09 and the garbage we see on the field today…
“Trust The Process”. Brian Cashman…
“We've got to trust the process and then let it take us where it's going to take us. That process — and the discipline behind that…

Sell the team. No, really….SELL THE TEAM!

I would say at least the Knicks won so I don’t care but nvm

There’s no kids left to call up, they’ve either been traded for Montas and Bader or they’re already up. Dominguez is hitting like .130 in AA ball. Bauers got hurt 19 seconds into the game.

The Rangers scored more runs this game than the Yankees had all series…

Fire Cashman and Boone!

What did Philly do last year when they started like this? Fired Girardi… what happened after that.. a pretty remarkable season! perhaps the Yankees should take note.

Yankees got cooked 🤣🤣🤣

Ever since the Pinstripes lost the series decider against the Toronto Blue Jays, they have looked like an entirely different side. And not in a good way. After losing 2-1 against the Blue Jays, they lost 2-1 to the Twins, and now 3-1 against Texas Rangers and slipped to the bottom of the American League East Division.
When will Aaron Judge return to the park?

Without captain Aaron Judge on the field, the Yanks have looked even more helpless. But Judge isn’t yet on the IL, which is a positive sign. However, there is still no definite update on when the 2022 AL MVP will return to the outfield.
While giving an update on the situation, Aaron Boone said, “We’re going to wait to see today and tomorrow, and see how we’re doing, to see if this is something that we want to take a 10-day [injured list stint] or if he is ready to play by Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday; we’ll keep that in play… In the grand scheme of things, the big picture, I do feel like we got good news on it. But that said, we want to make sure we’re doing right by him and by us.”
