New York Yankees just won a game against the Texas Rangers yesterday. But what should have been a celebration of a much-needed win, the victory was overshadowed by the injury of their main man. After a previous scare, the Yankees gave an update on Aaron Judge, who was removed from the game at the bottom of the fourth inning.

Giancarlo Stanton, Harrison Bader, Carlos Rodon, and Josh Donaldson are already serving time on the injured list. The Bronx Bombers cannot afford to lose any more players right now. However, now, the situation seems to get only worse for them, as Judge might not be available for a few games. Yesterday, after an awkward slide to second base recently, Judge walked off with visible discomfort. And fans are not happy with how things are going at their favorite clubhouse.

After that uncomfortable moment on the field, the outfielder talked about how it was minor discomfort. An MLB insider commented on how the captain might need to take a few days off, even if all looked good. And it seems like his predictions are coming true, much to fans’ dislike.

Talkin’ Baseball announced on Twitter that Judge is experiencing hip discomfort and will not be present for games in the near future. But a point to be noted is that the 31-year-old said he isn’t concerned. Even so, Yankees fans are not happy.

Some thought that the team was bluffing and Judge might actually miss more than a couple of days.

One fan wondered why he played with an injury at all.

Although some fans offered prayers for a speedy recovery, most are unhappy with how things are going.

According to the New York Post, Judge woke up with the right side of his body gone stiff after Wednesday’s game. “It wasn’t until the second-to-last swing that at-bat [in the second inning], I kind of felt something grab,” he said. “They kind of thought it’d be best to shut it down and see how we feel after a couple days and then get back in there.”

Oswaldo Cabrera filled in for Judge in the meanwhile and he may have to continue to do so. Aside from that tense moment, it was a good night for players in pinstripes. Gerrit Cole gave a phenomenal performance while striking out eight and giving up just two runs across 6 2/3 innings. Gleyber Torres came in with yet another home run, as did Jose Trevino.
