The Aaron Judge injury saga has finally come to a definitive conclusion. But it’s not something fans are happy with. Last week, Judge awkwardly slid into second base at a New York Yankees game and the move looked painful to anyone who saw it. As the captain got up from the ground to walk back, there was visible discomfort in his stride. He chose to finish the game but the next day wasn’t so lucky. Judge had to be removed from the game and then proceeded to miss the next few days due to a hip strain.
While Judge spent time away from the ballpark, the Yankees called up Franchy Cordero to take his place. But after a subpar performance, he was sent to do a Triple-A stint. However, not even two days later, he was called right back to the major leagues. And fans knew something was up.

As expected by many, All-Rise will now serve time on the IL and probably get some much-needed rest. The next game that Judge will be eligible for is the series opener against the Oakland Athletics on May 8. Injuries are something that can turn the tide of the season for a team, and Yankees manager Aaron Boone is keeping that in mind.

“We don’t want to put him in a position where he goes out and compromises somewhere else and the injury becomes something else or worse,” he said. “That’s the biggest thing.”
Given the outfielder’s stature, Judge relies on his hips to create a powerful stroke. So naturally, the team is being cautious going forward. Boone also mentioned that the captain is welcome to come back in the next two days if he wishes, but only after careful consideration of his pain. Yankee fans, however, don’t think anything good is going to happen anytime soon.
New York Yankees fans are disappointed at the turn of events
The season has only just begun but for Bronx fans, it might as well be all over without Judge. No matter how expected this news was, no one was happy to hear it. Injuries have already been a big setback for the Yankees and this latest one seems to be the worst of the lot.

One angry fan went so far as to admit they will not support the Yankees until Judge’s return.
I will be betting against the Yankees in every game until he returns

Some bashed Aaron Boone and general manager Brian Cashman too.
Not a surprise. Boone basically said it would happen over the weekend. We have to read between the lines to understand Boone’s giberish!

Even though Judge is not expected to miss out more than the next week or so, some fans think the Pinstripes are done for.
