Slowly bringing back the interest in baseball, the professional baseball team Savannah Bananas is exceeding their expectations with every day that passes. The Bananas showcasing their ripe yellow jerseys bring in something new in every game they play. And for this, all thanks go to the man who emptied his bank account and maxed his credit cards to form this team, Jesse Cole

And now, in the Bananas’ recent game against the Kansas City Monarchs, even though Georgia’s team could not win, they did steal the show with their still energetic, powerful 76-year-old pitcher, Bill Lee. The pitcher is a former MLB team Boston Red Sox player who is inducted into the Red Sox Hall of Fame for his iconic career on the mound.

The first and foremost rule of the Banana Ball game is to have fun. Needless to say, the aim got fulfilled when probably the oldest member of the team, Bill Lee, took the mound.

The pitcher, Lee, had a former MLB player for the Kansas City Chiefs, centerfielder Jacob Robson on the plate. As Lee showed his charm on the mound and threw the pitches, each one of them remained a no-hitter. Notably, Robson received three strikes at his at-bat and gave Lee an out.

With his iconic talent on the mound, Lee not only stole the show and became the highlight of a rather amusing game, but he also showed that age is just a number and one can do whatever one wants.

Whoever said, Where there’s a will, there’s a way, said it right, and Lee, whose nickname Spaceman is once again stealing hearts, became the perfect example of the same.
