The Juan Soto phenomenon has been occurring for the last few years, and baseball fans can’t help but be mesmerized. At just 24, Soto is a much sought-after entity that any team would be lucky to have. Currently, the San Diego Padres enjoy the benefits of this powerful player on their roster. And as for the Dominican player, the Padres are an equally strong team that he values.

Even if there have been some hiccups in spring training, there is no doubt about Soto’s talent. When Soto missed a catch in the left field recently – after playing right in 2022 – the internet was ablaze with fury. But luckily since this is only spring training, there are still chances for improvement. And from the looks of it, the 24-year-old would prefer to do it with the Padres.

In a recent interview with MLB Network, Soto was asked what he thought of the Padres members. And naming players like Nelson Cruz and Fernando Tatis Jr., the outfielder couldn’t stop gushing about his teammates. “We couldn’t wait to see Tatis coming back and show what he got. He’s just amazing…Incredible team. I’ve never been on a team this talented and I think it’s gonna be great. We’re gonna have a lot of fun,” Soto said.

One of the biggest acquisitions by the San Diego team has been renewing Manny Machado’s contract. Flouting convention, Peter Seidler is leaving no stone unturned as he improves his team’s roster. With big contracts for bigger names, including Xander Bogaerts, Yu Darvish, Joe Musgrove, and Tatis Jr., he has no intentions of slowing down.

What do fans think of Soto’s comments?

The Padres’ outfielder may find himself in hot water with baseball fans. Because given, his current team is not short on talent, but let’s flashback to 2019. The Washington Nationals vs Houston Astros. The Nationals won, and Juan Soto was a big part of why. Winning the World Series is no small feat and fans are reminding Soto where he came from.

Currently, Soto is signed on to the team for $23 million and a one-year extension, but this was only done to avoid arbitration. Neither the team nor Soto has given any indication as to what their future together will look like but the Padres fans clearly don’t want this relationship to end.
