Given his skills and hitting capabilities, the Padres need Tatis more than ever. Even if Tatis is not playing for the Padres, there is some good news for his fans. Recently, the Padres shortstop collaborated with a multinational shoe brand for a very special reason.

Notably, had Fernando Tatís Jr. been in the squad, the current scenario could have been different for the Padres in the National League West. Although Manny Machado has been leading the batting lineup for the Padres, including Tatis could have made the Padres’ offense even better.

Fernando Tatis Jr. collabs for special shoes with Adidas

Currently recovering from his injuries, Fernando Tatis Jr. is the next big thing in Major League Baseball. Earlier in 2021, the Dominican Republican shortstop signed a long-term contract with the Padres. Tatis agreed upon a 14-year contract with the Padres for a whopping $340 million.

Recently while recovering from the injuries, Tatis collaborated with Adidas for a very special cause. The two parties agreed to promote “end plastic waste” with a customized shoe made from the wastage of the oceans.

Taking to LinkedIn, Adidas’ official shared the same. She called this collaboration one of the most important campaigns she has been part of.

“One of the most important campaigns I’ve worked on to date – Adidas 4DFWD in collaboration with Parley for the Oceans,” said Adidas’ official. “Not only did we get to visit the Dominican Republic and see the plastic waste problem first hand, but we also got to learn from and work with locals, including Fernando Tatis, who are all passionate about our EndPlasticWaste message.”

Injury update of Tatis

As per renowned MLB journalist Jon Heyman, Fernando Tatis Jr. might make his comeback by late June. Notably, he is suffering from a broken wrist since the 2022 off-season.

If Tatis comes back into the Padres lineup, he will give a new life to his team. Because in the absence of Tatis, the Padres have done a fine job in NL West. They are just one win behind the division leaders, the LA Dodgers.
