Academy Award winner Emma Stone is not just a queen on the big screen, but also a ‘wild card queen’ in the baseball stands. The La La Land star earned this title after attending a San Diego Padres game wearing the team’s merch and witnessing their dominating 7-1 win against the New York Mets in 2022.

Stone and her husband, Dave McCary, are huge Padres fans and have been for quite some time. Recently, the pair was spotted at a Spring Training between the Padres and the Colorado Rockies, and it seems their presence was somewhat of good luck as the team triumphed with a stunning 7-1 score yet again, as fate would have it. Wasting no time, the Padres fans poured their love on their lucky charm.

During a recent Spring Training game, Emma Stone and Dave McCary were snapped in a photo that quickly captured the attention of the baseball community. The picture, which was shared on the Padres’ Twitter page, showed the couple sporting big smiles.

Fans were quick to respond, with some even referring to the actress by her beloved baseball nickname, the “wild card queen.”

One fan even speculated that she might be throwing out the first pitch at the game this season, a move that would undoubtedly thrill fans. Well, it’s clear that the two are loved by the fellow Padres community!

The San Diego Padres and the Colorado Rockies recently squared off in a Spring Training game, which became a kind of drubbing as the innings passed by. The match began with both teams exchanging strikeouts after strikeouts. However, it was the Rockies who managed to break through the Padres’ defenses in the bottom of the first inning, securing a run.

But the Padres didn’t let their rivals get the upper hand for long. In the top of the fifth inning, Trent Grishman emerged from the dugout and sent a soaring home run sailing over the right-center field. As time went on, Fernando Tatis Jr. scored another run in the same inning. Jake Cronenworth stepped up to the plate and sent another home run flying out of the park. The Padres ultimately emerged victorious with a score of 7-1.
