Injuries are something that can not be avoided in sports. Be it basketball, football, or baseball, almost all payers get injured once in a while. Recently, during the game between Colorado Avalanche and the Philadelphia Phillies, Ryan Feltner of the Rockies got hit during the return to his pitch. It was a scary moment, and everyone around the player made sure that Ryan was fine.

It was during the second innings of the game. Feltner was on the mound, and Nick Castellanos was at bat. Feltner threw a ball at 92.7 mph, which upon return went straight back, hitting the right side of Feltner’s head. What’s the update?

Ryan Feltner had a scary escape during the game against the Phillies. After being hit by a ball straight on the head, he felt some discomfort. Gavin McHugh shared a video of the incident, with the caption, “Nick Castellanos almost just killed Ryan Feltner…”

It was a situation no one want anyone to be in. Injuries like these can be fatal and put a dent in the game. The positive part of the incident was that Feltner left the field on his own and didn’t lose consciousness. According to the Associated Press, the player is undergoing multiple tests to ascertain the nature of the injury. The press quotes Colorado manager Bud Black saying. ” He’s under observation at a local hospital. He’s undergoing a litany of exams and tests. We’ll know more in the morning.”

Meanwhile, after a halt, the play continued, and the Phillies won it with a score of 7-4. The Phillies took advantage earlier in the game and played with a buffer for most of the game. Trea Turner scored a run after Bryce Harper struck a 439-meter strike, helping his team maintain the lead, and ultimately winning the game comfortably. But the highlight of the contest was an injury to Feltner, which left everyone concerned.
