The beginning of every year means a big time for the entertainment industry as films, shows, and music receive some of the most prominent awards. One major names is the Academy Award, for which the ceremony will take place on March 12th this year. But before getting to the main show, there comes the Oscars pre-show. It will see the return of last year’s host Vanessa Hudgens, who’s engaged to Rockies shortstop Cole Tucker.

Vanessa Hudgens will host the Oscars pre-show with two other big names

Along with the Tick, Tick… Boom! actress, Lilly Singh, and Ashley Graham will take the stage as hosts. Their segment is called Countdown to the Oscars, which will kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT on ABC. The three hosts will give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the biggest night in Hollywood. They will also discuss the evening’s incredible nominees, performers, and presenters in a 90-minute special.

Some of the most significant female names in the industry, Singh and Graham are relatively new to the hosting game. But Hudgens has tackled this task before. For The Knight Before Christmas actress, this will be her second consecutive year of hosting the pre-show.

All about the Hudgens-Tucker relationship

The actress and the pro baseballer met in a Zoom meeting where they were both part of an online meditation group. The couple officially announced they were together in 2021 on Valentine’s Day and got engaged in December 2022. Both have spoken about how supportive their partner is about everything in their lives, and the couple seems to be going strong right now!

Hudgens, who was not the most avid baseball fan before meeting Tucker, learned more about the game after meeting him. The actress is however a big sports fan because she loves basketball and golf. She even took Tucker golfing a few times in the time they’ve been dating.
