The last 48 hours were a roller coaster ride for the baseball fans. This happened due to the rumors of Shohei Ohtani joining the Toronto Blue Jays after a plane occupied by Robert Haverjec was termed a ‘Flight of ShoJay.’ However, that did not happen after the news of Ohtani being in Toronto turned out false. But given that it all preceded the biggest contract in MLB history, was it all planned?

Sometimes, there are special methods used to make or break the deal. This seems to be the reason behind Ohtani’s contract. After a lengthy battle, the two teams made it to the finale of the Shohei Ohtani sweepstakes, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays. Surprisingly, the Jays looked set to sign the two-way phenom, but all that changed later. However, this did not stop CAA client Robert Herjavec from coming into the picture, being the occupant of the flight that almost landed Ohtani in Toronto.

Taking note of the buzz, Herjavec joined in the conversation with a funny post. He shared, I’d like to thank the @bluejays organization for signing me today! All joking aside – I’m not @shoheiohtani, and he was not on my plane today!” On a funny note, the $300 million businessman cleared the air over the sudden buzz of Shohei moving to Toronto.
