MLB Commissioners serve 5-year tenures at a time. Rob Manfred is currently tenured until January 2025. But 18 months before the completion of the five years, they can apply for re-election. And to ensure re-election, Manfred needs the most votes from the 30 MLB team owners to retain his position.
Most recently, MLB on FOX shared that Manfred will probably keep his position in an update on Instagram. In the post, they said, ?Rob Manfred expected to be re-elected as MLB Commissioner per Evan Drellich?.

Furthermore, they also confirmed that the re-election for Manfred is scheduled for next week. Despite the fact that the re-election results will indicate whether his tenure will end in 2025 or continue, the news of his re-election itself has caused devastation and general unhappiness among fans.
Some fans said goodbye to the MLB while others criticized his re-election.?
