It’s a new day in the Bronx, and this time it’s the six-time All-Star Aaron Judge who’s making headlines! Albeit for all the right reasons, as the Yankees’ captain is hopeful of getting the right pieces in the puzzle and getting back to the World Series, maybe winning it after so many years. However, there’s some problem that’s haunting the Yankees camp recently. What’s that?

Few of the Yankees’ players have recently suffered injuries. Firstly, it was Giancarlo Stanton, and now it is LUIS Gil who suffered a high-trade lat strain. While the Yankees’ Brian Cashman gave injury updates that don’t look like quick returns of the players to the mound, Aaron Judge remains optimistic about moving away from these issues and changing the fate of the franchise once again. Think that’s possible?

Well, maybe if every player remains on the same page and they work as a unit, then who can stop the Yankees? On March 7, the Yankees’ skipper said on the MLB Network, “Everybody in this room is motivated to get back to the World Series and rewrite the script.” When asked about the new players in the team, Judge even mentioned that he would like to lead by example as a leader and guide them properly. However, with the injuries looming as threats, it will be better for Judge to look into the players he has in hand rather than thinking about the injured ones. Isn’t it?

Definitely, given that Aaron Judge himself had a great last season, where he played 158 games at an average of.322, with 144 RBIs and scoring 58 home runs as well. With a huge fan following, Judge feels happy and recalls his childhood memories, when he used to watch his favorite players donning the pinstripes jersey and cheering for them. So, it’s quite special for him too. As the Yankees were quite closer to the World Series title last year, despite the injury-marred lineup, Judge believes that they can make wonders with the firepower they have in the team and recreate magic yet again.

But the series of injuries is definitely taking a toll on their chances of making it to the playoffs, isn’t it?

The Yankees lineup looks rattled by injuries

While the New York Yankees’ captain Aaron Judge is hopeful to make a great comeback in 2025, the Yankees’ 2025 season hasn’t gotten off to a great start. The reason? Their outfielder Giancarlo Stanton was out due to an injury in his elbow, and now one of their stars, DJ LeMahieu, underwent an imaging that showed a Grade 1 or 2 strain in the calf. On Stanton, Brain Cashman confirmed that the slugger was receiving injections in both hands while battling tennis elbows in both his elbows. But that doesn’t end here!

What’s your perspective on:

Can Aaron Judge's leadership overcome the Yankees' injury woes and lead them to World Series glory?

Have an interesting take?

Their AL rookie of the year, Luis Gil, also suffered a major strain, and while everyone was hoping for positive news, they were rather disappointed. So, it’s not at all great for the New York Yankees; however, Cashman feels that Gil may return to the mound this summer, although a minimum of six weeks of recovery time shall be there for making a full recovery. So, given that injuries of players mar the lineup, the Yankees’ captain Aaron Judge will look to move on with hopes of turning things around as quickly as possible.
