The Oakland A’s are already on their way to challenge the New York Mets’ for their inaugural season record of 40-120. As the team approaches breaking this record, a lesser-known yet important record might also get broken.?

In 80 games played this season, the Athletics have put 46 different players on the field. Which is by far the most in the majors.
