The passing of a legend as iconic as the Queen of Rock n Roll, Tina Turner, has saddened the entire entertainment industry. Countless people from all over the country are now in mourning after hearing about the loss of an icon as incredible as Turner. Having won almost every possible award there is in the music industry, Queen of Rock has left a big gaping hole in the hearts that she touched with her music. 

Now, among millions of others paying tribute to Turner is the 5x Grammy Award winner Mariah Carey, her ex-boyfriend Derek Jeter‘s sister, Sharlee Jeter, and many others.

Tina Turner: a name that affected generations

Tina Turner isn’t merely a name but someone who, in a way, revolutionized the music industry with a passion for music that she had. And who better to recognize her talents and give a tribute to her than the iconic singer, Songbird Supreme, Mariah Carey?

Taking to her official Twitter handle, Carey poured her feelings out for Turner in words. She did so by putting up a picture of the legend, doing what she loved the most, performing. Carey wrote, “The words legendary, iconic, diva, and superstar are often overused and yet Tina Turner embodies them all and so many more – an incredible performer, musician and trailblazer. To me, she will always be a survivor and an inspiration to women everywhere. Her music will continue to inspire generations to come. Rest in Peace, Queen.” 

Shortly before Carey paid her tribute to Turner, MLB great Derek Jeter’s sister, Sharlee Jeter, also did the same. Taking to her Instagram story, Sharlee also put on a picture of The Best singer with an adorable smile on her face. Coincidentally, the pictures put up by Sharlee and Mariah seem to be from the same show of the late singer.

The country is saddened by the passing of Turner!

 After battling a long illness of high blood pressure and kidney disease, Tina Turner breathed her last. She died peacefully at her home in Germany with her dear ones by her side. Notably, such an iconic singer passing away to heaven has her fans in mourning while sending their condolences to Turner’s family.
