There are a few pitchers that have achieved a perfect game and all of them are champions in their own right. One of these pitchers was once fined for an act of mischief that they committed during a game. For those unversed, the pitcher who did this is none other than Tom Browning.

Browning played 12 years in the MLB and won a World Championship with the Cincinnati Reds in 1990. But his championship and the perfect game are only two of the things he is known for. The? once pulled off an extremely mischievous act that ended with him being fined.

During a game against the Chicago Cubs in 1993, Browning exited the game while in full uniform and exited the stadium. He then went to the roof of an apartment building close to the stadium and watched the game from there. The act of mischief got Browning in trouble. Per a report by ESPN ?That trouble ended up being a fine from manager Davey Johnson. Reports vary on whether it was for $500 or $1,000.?

The Reds also posted a Tweet of the incident and said ?July 7, 1993: Tom Browning leaves the Reds’ dugout at Wrigley Field in uniform, walks across the street and sits with a group of Cubs fans on the roof of an apartment building behind the right field bleachers. Although the incident ended with Browning getting fined, it was one of the most memorable moments of his career. Sadly, the legendary pitcher passed away recently at the age of 62. But his perfect game will be remembered forever.?

Although Tom Browning pitched one perfect game in his career, the legendary pitcher got close to it on other occasions. In fact, on one occasion he came close to pitching his second perfect game but was thwarted by a late hit in the ninth inning.?
