The final move of Shohei Ohtani migrating his legacy to the Dodgers stadium has happened. The baseball unicorn’s longtime friend and translator, Ippei Mizuhara, will be moving with him to the Blue Crew’s dugout. From what he shared on his Instagram account today, it seems like he is as emotional as the Angels’ fans about these recent flurries of changes.

Now, it’s his moment to embark on the next leg of the journey. In doing so, he took the time to offer a gracious and final farewell to the Angels’ dugout.

Ippei Mizuhara has been with Ohtani since his 2017 initiation with the Los Angeles Angels. From then until now, Mizuhara has been a constant companion to the beloved Shotime, all year round. From spring training and regular-season games to playoffs and offseason, everywhere the Japanese ace went, so went his trusted interpreter. With the shift in destiny comes a heartfelt farewell.

In a beautiful Instagram post shared a few hours ago, Mizuhara was seen reminiscing about his Angels’ stay with Shohei Ohtani in a beautiful message that he shared. The post that showed the Angels’ stadium speaks of how Mizuhara cherishes all the love and support received from the Angels’ fans for the past six years.

His message read, “Cannot thank you guys enough for all the support for the last 6 years. Really really gonna miss you guys, and I truly mean that from the bottom of my heart..It has been a great pleasure being part of the Angels family. Wishing you all the best. Thank you Angels fans!!!!!”

 Mizuhara couldn’t have been more transparent with his sentiments surrounding the Halos. He didn’t simply conclude at that point.

In a heartwarming collage spread across five segments on his Instagram stories, Mizuhara left the Angels’ fans reminiscing about some of the best moments spent by Shohei Ohtani in the Angels’ dugout. From his famous fast hits to lightning-speed pitching throws, the stories show a collage of several pictures and videos collected throughout his tenure on the team.

It ends with another beautiful message left by Mizuhara. “Thank you, Angels fans. I would never trade the last 6 years for anything.
