In an Instagram post, he stated that many people had been asking him what differentiates the good from the great. A-Rod then mentioned three main factors, courage, discipline, and fear.

In the Instagram video, A-Rod said, “Number 1 is courage. A bit of measured risk taking in your DNA. Number 2 is discipline, the attention to detail. The great ones, the Pat Rileys, the Bill Belichicks, the Don Shulas. They have this amazing power of restriction to sit still when there’s so much white noise out there. And number 3, and maybe the most important one, humility with a nice coating of fear. Those who worry all the time have nothing to worry about. And those who never worry have everything to worry about.”
