For those wondering whether this price was too high for a ticket, hold your breath! Because MLB legend Jackie Robinson of the Brooklyn Dodgers holds the record for the highest ticket stub. Robinson made his MLB debut in 1947. The ticket stub for his debut game sold for a massive price of $480,000.
The face of modern baseball, Derek Jeter, is far away from where Robinson was. But one may think that the ticket for Jeter’s debut game could have fetched more money, especially after comparing it with Jackie Robinson’s.
