Derek Jeter was more than a baseball player in Major league Baseball. Having played for the New York Yankees for over 20 years, Jeter took the Pinstripes to a new high. And by the time he retired, Jeter became a symbolic figure for the Yankees.
He has five World Series titles, World Series MVP, five Gold Gloves, and last but not least, his name in the Baseball Hall of Fame. When Jeter made his big league debut in the 1995 season, the Yankees were trophyless for the last 15 years.

But with Jeter by their side, The Bronx Bombers ended their title drought in the 1996 season. Not only that, but the Pinstripes also completed their hat-trick of the World Series between 1997 and 2000. Such was the kind of player he was back in the late 90s and early 2000s.
