Marcus Semien may not have won the MVP award, but his season was nonetheless phenomenal. The Texas Rangers’ slugger was an immovable object in the diamond, always there, no matter the situation. Pete Rose, the legendary Cincinnati Reds player, holds a notable record with 811 dating back to 1975. Additionally, Alfonso Soriano, the second baseman for the New York Yankees, posted an impressive count of 809 in the year 2003.

Semien showed quite a lot of heart and hustle as he missed only one game over the course of the last four full regular seasons. posting full 162 appearances this regular season. Then he played another 17 games in October to take himself to this record-breaking number. The Lone Star Iron Man’s plate appearance yielded a remarkable outcome of 202 hits, 42 doubles, five triples, 32 home runs, and 78 walks. To add a delightful touch, he also sported a World Championship ring.
